Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop

This is the last stop on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog hop!  Thanks for joining us.  Today's layout is supposed to be about "I"...or me.  I must warn you, this layout is a REAL STRETCH!  I was on QUITE a roll with my kit this month, and used all of it up without ever even taking a photo of the kit in the first place!  Sadly, I used it up without realizing that I never did the blog hop mini challenge with it either!  (I got so much scrapping done this month, that I even went back to finish up kits from earlier this year!!!)  I did create 9 double page layouts with my June Counterfeit Kit, so I had to go back and choose one that was about me...now I don't scrap much about myself (which is why Bethany chose this challenge...duh, Meridy) so finding a layout about me, that I made using my kit this month, was a REAL stretch...but here goes!

"I MADE" these potato sacks...

This layout is about the potato sacks that I made last year for potato sack races at my son's first birthday party (no he didn't race, the older kids did).  I sewed 6 of them out of burlap and stamped the words "Sack of Potatoes" on them.  I was so proud of my potato sacks, that I took them to Texas for our family reunion last May so the kids could race there too.  The family reunion races are in this layout.  The journaling is about how I made the potato sacks...so I'm in there a little bit!

Potato sacks that "I" made...

Well, I warned you that it was a stretch!  Lesson learned...next month I need to do the blog hop challenge BEFORE I finish off my Counterfeit Kit!

Thanks for joining us this month.  I can't wait to see tomorrow's blog hop participants and their work!!!!

  4. I'm so impressed that you finished up this month's kit and went back and used up others too. You are certainly scrapping faster than those kiddos are hopping! Well done.
